RESOURCES FOR MENTORS AND MENTEES
Mentoring is a critical, yet often underappreciated, factor in transferring formal and informal knowledge. As mentees, mentoring relationships provide opportunities to learn from someone else's experience and receive tailored advice to advance one's career. As mentors, mentoring relationships can enrich one's career by serving as an opportunity to learn about emerging trends in the field while helping others overcome challenges and achieve personal and professional goals.
Most of us will experience being in both roles throughout our career. To help make the most of these mentoring relationships, ADSA's Career Development Network has curated a list of resources to get you started.
These resources will be routinely updated, so be sure to bookmark this page and check back for updates.

Check out our resources for new mentors who will be engaging in one-to-one mentoring, although most of this advice will apply to mentors participating in mentoring teams as well. The document includes questions that mentors should reflect on prior to establishing a relationship with mentees. It also includes advice on how to select mentees, setting expectations, and points to resources on how to create an individual development plan for mentees. The document concludes with a brief discussion on (un)ethical behavior.
